Ralph Lauren

It was in 1967 that Ralph Lauren opened his first store where he sold his own brand, Polo: a name in the image of this refined and elitist sport. With the ambition of opening a business aimed at the New York upper class, he launched several lines of clothing in the following years, including shirts and suits, and made a name for himself by dressing the characters of the film Gatsby the Magnificent. After creating his logo of the polo player on a horse, he released his famous Polo piece in 24 colors which earned him worldwide fame even today.

The 2000s will allow Ralph Lauren to impose itself throughout the world because in 2012 it will produce the uniform of the American Olympic team, and will create the Polo Sport which is a great success. Beyond this success, Ralph Lauren has been innovative in its "lifestyle" communication, which tells a story... the story of an American style. Largely inspired by the Ivy League, these images of BCBG America will be a source of inspiration for the collections we know today and which will last over time. Since its creation Ralph Lauren has expanded its creative line, giving way to a few more streetwear collections while keeping its DNA of elitist clothing.
