In several of his writings, he would sing of his wonder at Lake Como, notably writing, \"I will often return to this sublime lake; nothing so beautiful can be seen in the world, at least not for my heart.\" A deeply moved lover of these landscapes, he describes an absolute, an invitation to happiness amidst the villas scattered along the lake.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n \u003cp\u003eWe, like him, were filled with wonder at these palazzi and their engravings, these gardens reflecting the azure shores. Lake Como is that haven where the absolute is embodied, and where we see through the eyes of Henri Beyle. For the launch of our first collection, we were eager to honor this place and the absolute it now represents. We chose to express this ideal through the lens of Villa Carlotta, located in Tremezzina on the shores of the lake. A villa typical of Lake Como, now a museum, it impresses as much by its architecture as by the richness of its gardens and the works it houses. It was one of the most fashionable villas of the 19th century, and Henri Beyle notably stayed there. Henri signed his writings with the pen name Stendhal.
